UFC president Dana White quickly provided Nick Diaz with three tickets for last Saturday’s The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale card directly behind him in Las Vegas.
Diaz, though, decided to sit in the upper levels of Mandalay Bay Events Center instead, and missed out on talking with White. The former Strikeforce champion announced his retirement – again – following a recent loss to Georges St-Pierre.
“That’s Nick Diaz, right? I didn’t see him, I didn’t talk to him,” White said earlier this week during his media scrum. “I thought he’d be sitting right (behind me). If he wants to fight, we’ll give him a fight.”
Through sources, it has been made known that Diaz would only return for either a rematch with GSP or a super-fight vs. Anderson Silva. Neither of those appear on the horizon, so we could be at a stand-still as far as his Octagon return goes.
