Anderson Silva wants 10 more fights added to his UFC contract and hopes to secure those within a five year span.
“If I can fit all these fights in five years [it] will be great,” said Silva to TATAME. “Otherwise, I will be second to UFC fans.”
On average, Silva defends his title minimum twice a year.
Silva’s UFC run is unprecedented. He has won all 16 of his UFC fights and defended his title 10 consecutive times. Silva also holds 12 post-fight bonuses. Those are just some of the achievements from “The Spider.”
Looking to end all that is Chris Weidman, who’s 9-0.
They headline UFC 162 from Las Vegas, NV. It comes from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 6.
