Gabriel Gonzaga has filed his appeal with the Nevada Athletic Commission. Gonzaga is protesting a loss to Travis Browne in which he was hit with several elbows.
“Just send today a review to Athletic Commission,” Gonzaga posted on Twitter.
Browne was tied up against the fence, but found his right arm free and hammered Gonzaga with several elbows before the referee stepped in. The majority of the shots appeared to be legal, but the Brazilian is still filing the appeal and has hopes of a rematch.
“Going to training need to be ready! Do you think (UFC president) Dana White will put the rematch (together)?” Gonzaga said. “After watch the video is true the elbows some legal and some illegal, but I think was that he won by illegal ones.”
Browne has stated he doesn’t believe the decision will be changed.
