It’s been a good start to the first part of 2013 for Court McGee, as he snapped a two-fight losing skid this past February, besting Josh Neer.
McGee, a previous winner of The Ultimate Fighter, celebrated seven years sober on Tuesday. His battle with addiction was made known during his run on TUF.
“7 years ago today I sobered up April 16, 2006,” McGee wrote on his official Facebook page. “Through good times and bad times I stayed sober one day at a time. Thank you all for inspiration.”
During his welterweight debut vs. Neer, McGee set a division record for most significant strikes landed in a three-round fight at 170 pounds. “The Crusher” connected on 166 strikes in 15 minutes.
