Invicta FC 6 Gains Second Title Fight, Third Bout Added

Invicta FC already has a title fight lined up for their sixth show and two other bouts are strongly rumored. MMA Rising reports strawweight champion Carla Esparza vs. Ayaka Hamasaki and Bec Hyatt vs. Mizuki Inoue will be added to the card.

Esparza has won six of her last seven as she looks to defend the strawweight championship for the first time. Hamasaki is the current Pancrase women’s lightweight champion and undefeated with nine wins.

Hyatt lost in her chance to win the strawweight title and rebounded with a submission over Jasminka Cive at Invicta FC 5. Inoue enters at 18-years-old and already has three wins to her name.

Previously named as the headliner was Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos vs. Marloes Coenen for the inaugural featherweight championship.

Invicta FC 6 is set for late June or early July with no venue announced. The promotion’s president Shannon Knapp stated they will likely keeping running shows out of Kansas City, MO.
