New Zealand’s Dylan Andrews gave The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): Smashes a try, but was unsuccessful in gaining a bid on the reality show. While he didn’t appear on that season, he did get his chance on TUF 17.
“I didn’t make it for whatever reason,” said Andrews to MMA Fighting. “I look at everything happening for a reason. I didn’t make the ‘Smashes’ because I wanted to be on the number one Ultimate Fighter of all time and that was season 17.”
On the finale’s card, Andrews took a first round stoppage against fellow housemate Jimmy Quinlan. Andrews is now 16-4.
Quinlan suffered his first loss and is 3-1.
TUF Finale 17 came from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. It was on April 13.
