Urijah Faber stands to make over $100,000 should he defeated Scott Jorgensen Saturday night in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. MMAjunkie.com confirmed the early fighter salaries on Friday with the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Faber and Jorgensen agreed to take the match on short notice after an injury to UFC flyweight Demetrious Johnson caused the change. Johnson was originally set to defend his title vs. John Moraga.
Faber, a former WEC champion, will earn $55,000, and can double that with a win over Jorgensen – who stands to earn $23,500 to compete and an additional $23,500 for a win.
Also, Miesha Tate will be paid $28,000 to show, with an additional $28,000 on the line should she defeat Cat Zingano ($7,000/$7,000) in the second-ever female fight inside the Octagon.
Complete fighter salaries, which do not include any type of locker room bonuses or sponsor payouts, will be available next week.
