In one of Forest Griffin‘s many UFC antics, after his UFC 148 fight with Tito Ortiz he left the Octagon before the scorecard was read. UFC president Dana White had to chase him down before the official announcement was made.
Griffin won the trilogy in what was Ortiz’s final fight. Ortiz looks at how the moments transpired post-fight and wonders if White knew some inside information.
“After [Griffin] out of the fight, that shows that he lost and for Dana to go back and run and get him to come back, there’s something fishy going on here,” said Ortiz to GNP.tv. “How does Dana know how the match is going to turn out? I thought something was fishy. If didn’t knock him out or submit him, they already knew who was going to win.”
Their two previous fights were split-decisions, with Griffin getting the unanimous this time.
Ortiz retired following that July 2012 bout as a UFC hall of famer and former light heavyweight champion.
