Forrest Griffin’s days as a light heavyweight seems to be safe since he’s not sure how’d he do in a heavier division. That doesn’t stop the former champion from thinking about it.
“I wish [I was heavyweight],” said Griffin to MMA Interviews. “If I had a better chin I would. I think I have heavyweight strength, but not heavyweight punching power or a heavyweight chin.”
Since winning the first The Ultimate Fighter, Griffin has called 205 pounds home. He’s 9-6 for the UFC and has three Fight of the Year awards to his name.
After winning his trilogy with Tito Ortiz in the summer of 2012, Griffin suffered a MCL tear and ACL strain which will keep him out until at least 2013.
