UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey wasn’t as flamboyant about Fallon Fox as Matt Mitrione, but she did offer up some interesting comments concerning the transgender fighter in an interview with the New York Post.
“She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it’s still the same bone structure a man has,” Rousey said. “It’s an advantage. I don’t think it’s fair.”
Fox, who was born a man, has undergone gender reassignment surgery and transitioned to a female. She is 2-0 in her MMA career, but is currently having her license reviewed for a future fight.
Mitrione was suspended by UFC officials for his recent outburst concerning Fox. Rousey said about Mitrione, “I understand the UFC doesn’t want to be associated with views like that. I’m also glad they didn’t straight cut him.”
