Spike TV president Kevin Kay revealed one fighter for the Bellator MMA “Summer Series,” as former Strikeforce champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal will compete in the 205-pound field.
“Mo is actually going to fight in the ‘Summer Series’ and I think people will be very excited to see how he comes back,” said Kay, in an interview with MMAWeekly.com.
Lawal lost in the season eight light heavyweight tournament, which Kay said “just validated the tournament structure.”
The 32-year-old is 9-2 in his career, including wins over Roger Gracie and Gegard Mousasi while in Strikeforce. No opponent was announced for Lawal.
