Alexis Davis was asked a question that the rest of the UFC’s female division should probably get accustom to hearing: what are your thoughts on Fallon Fox?
Fox, a transgender who competes in Florida, is still way off the UFC’s radar, but she is on the mind of people right now. Davis, who will make her Octagon debut at UFC 161: Barao vs. Wineland against Rosi Sexton, responded rather honestly about her.
“If she was to drop to 135, I would consider (fight her),” said Davis, during a press conference Wednesday. “It’s not much of a problem for me, as I train with guys everyday. I can’t really say too much in regards (to her being allowed to compete vs. females). It’s a hard question to answer.”
Davis (13-5) has won her last two and five of her previous six overall. She submitted by Shayna Baszler and Hitomi Akano in 2012, and will be making her debut in native country.
“It’s great to be back in Winnipeg,” she commented. “I had my very first MMA fight (here). I am truly honored to have my UFC debut here.”
