According to a report by The Province, Rory MacDonald will return to action in July. MacDonald, however, will not be facing Carlos Condit, as his opponent will be Jake Ellenberger.
Earlier in the day, Ellenberger made mention to signing a fight for the end of July. The bout is expected to take place at UFC on FOX 8 from Seattle.
MacDonald (14-1) was removed from a scheduled match with Condit after suffering a training injury to his neck. The 23-year-old is 5-1 in his Octagon career, the lone loss coming to Condit.
Ellenberger (29-6) improved to 8-2 in the UFC after defeating Nate Marquardt this past March. He has won eight of his last nine fights overall.
