In a bold statement, Conor McGregor predicted he would win is UFC debut in under three minutes. The former multi-division Cage Warriors champion made good on his promise, finishing Marcus Brimage in just over a minute.
As for the future, the Irishman sees improvement as he looks to secure more wins.
“There’s loads to come,” said McGregor to FUEL TV. “I’m growing every day and trying to improve. I’m looking to land [punches] all the time.”
For his finish at UFC on FUEL TV 9, McGregor earned Knockout of the Night. It brings his record to 13-2 and gives him nine straight finishes since February 2011.
UFC president Dana White said that McGregor will be competing on the Boston card on August 17. It comes from the TD Garden. No opponent has been named.
