Chris Weidman is pulling out all the stops in preparation for his middleweight championship shot at Anderson Silva. To help train, the No. 1 contender will bring in The Ultimate Fighter’s (TUF) Uriah Hall.
“I actually think I’m going to bring in Uriah Hall from The Ultimate Fighter,” said Weidman on Chokes and Jokes. “If you stand there with him, he’s going to kick your head off. It has to be the same strategy. You move forward, you punch him and go for takedowns.”
Before Weidman and Hall started making waves in the UFC, they fought at Ring of Combat in 2010. Weidman won their battle in the first round. When he meets Silva, he does so at a perfect 9-0 with three stoppages for the promotion.
Hall can currently be seen on TUF. So far, he’s made quick and dominating work of everyone put in front of him.
Silva vs. Weidman headlines UFC 162 on July 6. It emanates from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
