Brad Pickett vs. Mike Easton

A pair of fighters looking to get back on track in the bantamweight division square off next, as Brad Pickett (22-7) battles Mike Easton (13-2). Leon Roberts is the man in charge of the action.

Round 1: Easton using his strength to keep Pickett up against the fence, working hard for the takedown. The two exchange elbows, and Pickett reverses course. Pickett looking for an uppercut, as Easton is leaving a hole in the middle of his defense. Pickett storms in and is denied a takedown attempt. Kick connects from Easton, and the two exchange strikes. Quick takedown scores from Easton as we go under a minute, likely earning him the round with that move. Pickett, though, comes right back and lands a double-leg takedown.

Round 2: Easton with a big knee inside the clinch that lands, and shows his power by tossing Pickett across the cage. Both appear content to stand and trade, throwing lefts and rights in bunches. Pickett takes Easton down, but is unable to keep him there. Pickett controlling the latter stages of this round with his wrestling and striking, though Easton quickly answers with a takedown almost on queue. Easton working for a kimura from half-guard, but Pickett avoids it. Easton fends off a takedown attempt. Pickett finds some energy and lands several big strikes to conclude the round.

Round 3: Pickett working his striking to start the round, and Easton appears willing to engage before sliding to the side and scoring a takedown. Pickett, though, reverses and is on top with three-plus minutes to go. All Pickett with the ground-and-pound. Easton rolls and is able to get to his feet. but Pickett slams him back to the mat. Easton rolls and nearly gets caught in a guillotine but is able to avoid it. Thrilling finish to an excellent fight, as both men stand and trade until the bell.
