UFC On FUEL TV 9: Chris Spang Vs. Adlan Amagov

Chris Spang vs. Adlan Amagov

Our final welterweight fight of the card is up now, as Chris Spang (5-1) and Adlan Amagov (11-2-1) each make their Octagon debuts. The referee will be Leon Roberts. This is also the first time Amagov has fought at welterweight, as he recently told FightLine about the decision.

Round 1: Amagov looking to land that front kick to the lead leg, much like Jon Jones does and did to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Smooth spinning back kick by Amagov. Amagov drops Spang with a kick to the chest, but he pounces right back up. Not much offense from Spang yet, but with his boxing background, it only takes one. Amagov mixing head kicks, body kicks and that “stomp” kick as Kenny Florian called it well, and even throwing in some spinning kicks; great offense by the Russian.

FightLine scores the round 10-9 for Amagov

Round 2: Amagov throws a spinning back kick with two twirls, but Spang has seen enough and is moving forward. Head kick lands by Amagov, who follows up with a takedown. Spang throwing more kicks now, trying to keep Amagov off balance.

FightLine scores the round 10-9 for Amagov

Round 3: Spang has to feel like he needs a finish to win, and starts coming right after him to start – much like round two. Amagov, though, is able to avoid taking any combos from the boxer. Amagov with a takedown, showing all of his skills in this runaway victory with jsut over a minute left. Nice kick from Amagov while still trying for a takedown. Belly-to-back suplex by Amagov puts the finishing touches on this one.

FightLine scores the round 10-9 for Amagov

Adlan Amagov def. Chris Spang via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
