Michael Kuiper vs. Tom Lawlor
Middleweights compete next, as Michael Kuiper (12-1) battles Tom Lawlor (8-5). The third man inside the Octagon will be Marko Gylleland.
Round 1: Lawlor working for a takedown, but Kuiper is stuffing each attempt in the early going. While still working the takedown, Lawlor is landing some nice body shots. Kuiper with a takedown of his own thanks to a judo trip. Kuiper lands another takedown and connects. And, just like that, a lift-and-plant takedown from Kuiper puts Lawlor on his back. Kuiper working for a potential kimura, but winds up taking the back instead. Lawlor shoots for a takedown, gets stuffed and eats some nasty punches as the round comes to an end.

Round 2: Lawlor appears to have suffered a knee injury in the latter stages of round one. Kuiper attempts a takedown and Lawlor goes for a guillotine, dropping to the ground with it still locked in. Lawlor doesn’t let go, and Kuiper is forced to tap.
