Conor McGregor’s Two Cage Warriors Belts Mean Nothing In The UFC, Says Marcus Brimage

Marcus Brimage wasn’t familiar with his upcoming opponent, Conor McGregor, so he used the internet to help get a better feel for whom he’s about to fight. What he saw was the only person to hold two separate titles out of Europe’s Cage Warriors.

While McGregor might have been the featherweight and lightweight champion at the same time for Cage Warriors, Brimage is far from impressed.

“I went and YouTubed him after I heard I was gonna fight him,” said Brimage. “It looks like he fights a whole bunch of bums that he knows he’s gonna beat. He’s got two championship belts, but it don’t mean anything unless you’ve got a UFC belt.”

Brimage enters undefeated in the UFC with three featherweight decision wins. McGregor is 12-2 after a two year run for Cage Warriors.

The two are set for the preliminary end of UFC on FUEL TV 9 from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Sweden. It’s tomorrow, April 6, and starts at 10:45 a.m. ET.
