Magomedrasul Khasbulaev Looks To Keep Rolling Out Finishes

Magomedrasul Khasbulaev likes to end fights and has no problem doing so. Just look at his path to the finals of Bellator’s Season 8 lightweight tournament for proof.

“You know, I always tried to finish my opponents,” said Khasbulaev to MMA Junkie. “Audience likes it. I train standup a lot, so now winning by knockout is more interesting for me.”

After two round one stoppages, which included a 24 second knockout of Nayeb Hezam, Khasbulaev entered the Season 8 tournament. He chocked-out Fabricio Guerreiro in the quarterfinals and followed that with a TKO to Marlon Sandro.

Before any kind of championship shot, Mike Richman is standing in the way of Khasbulaev. He edged out Alexandre Bezerra with a split-decision to land in the finals.

“In this fight I will prove that I belong in Bellator and that I’m capable of becoming a champion,” said Khasbulaev.

They meet on the main card of Bellator 95, which airs later today on Spike TV at 10 p.m. ET. It comes from Revel Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
