The UFC is shaking up The Ultimate Fighter next season. For the first time, women will compete on the show alongside men. Tryouts are two weeks away and one credential is that someone has at least three professional fights to their name. After Invicta FC 5, Jessamyn Duke will have that magic number.
“It definitely is awful convenient,” said Duke to MMA Mania. “Right now my main focus is Nakamoto and I’m trying not to get distracted too much but it’s definitely on my radar and it’s definitely in the back of my mind. After the fifth, it will be the main thing I’m thinking about, the decision on what I’m going to do exactly.”
In her amateur career, Duke was 5-2 before turning pro last year. She finished Suzie Montero and Marciea Allen for Invicta FC. She meets Miriam Nakamoto tomorrow, April 5.
Nakamoto took a second round TKO over Elizabeth Phillips in her first fight.
Duke vs. Nakamoto is set for the preliminary card of Invicta FC 5. It comes from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO.
