Michael Bisping is sticking by his fellow countryman Ross Pearson for this weekend, picking Pearson to defeat Ryan Couture at UFC on FUEL TV: Mousasi vs. Latifi.
The bout will be the UFC debut for Couture, the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture. It is set to serve as the co-main event from Stockholm, Sweden and the Ericcson Globe Arena.
“I think he should take him easily,” Bisping wrote in response to a question on Twitter regarding the fight. “TKO.”
Pearson has alternated wins and losses in each of his last seven fights, including a knockout of George Sotiropoulos in his return to lightweight last year. The former winner of The Ultimate Fighter is 14-6 in his career.
Couture (6-1) has won four straight, including a split decision over K.J. Noons this past January in Strikeforce.
