So. Season Eight of Bellator MMA. Tonight it ends with a big show in Atlantic City, N.J. that yours truly will be covering. Was the first season on SpikeTV as good for you as it was for me? Personally, I loved how the tournaments wrecked the grand plans that Babalu and King Mo would rule the roost, and I especially dug how the tournaments gave us some viable challengers to the current reigning champions’ belts. Take tonight’s Bellator 95 for example, where featherweight master killer Pat Curran gets to defend his crown against Dagistani monster Shah Shamhalaev. I honestly think Curran is in danger of getting clubbed to death, which clearly is the result of some solid tournament action. Anyway, there’ll be no morning news roundup tomorrow because I’ll be coming back from Atlantic City then, so enjoy today’s headlines!
