ONE FC’s Quick Rise Surpassed Goals, Says CEO Victor Cui

The Asian MMA market wasn’t recently touched until ONE FC came aboard. In the span of 18 months, they have introduced MMA to a new area. How quick everything has moved, left ONE FC CEO Victor Cui surprised.

“We’re definitely way ahead of where I thought we would be at this point,” said Cui to Sherdog. “The biggest surprise to me is how quickly we’re selling out stadiums, and the new sponsors that have come on-board. These are real big, blue-chip companies that have come on-board with us here and have come on very early. That’s great news for us, and I was surprised by it.”

The lowest attended show was in the 4,000 range and has been topping off with over 16,000.

The second show of the year comes from the Singapore Indoor Stadium and is headlined with lightweight champion Kotetsu Boku vs. Shinya Aoki. That’s this Friday, April 5.

Then on May 31 they come from the SM Mall of Asia Arena, which features featherweight champion Honorio Banario vs. Bae Young Kwon.

They currently have a 10 year deal with ESPN Star Sports, which airs across all of Asia.
