Sarah Kaufman has inked a UFC deal, but before she enters the Octagon she fulfills her Invicta FC fight against Leslie Smith.
The newest UFC female competitor comes in with a 15-2 record, which is a far cry from Smith’s 5-2. Even with the drastic difference when it comes to experience, Kaufman isn’t taking the fight lightly.
“It’s not an easy fight by any means,” said Kaufman to MMA Mania. “I have the skills to beat Leslie and I’ve done all the preparation to defeat Leslie, but I don’t anticipate it being a walk in the park. It’s a big fight and she’s a talented opponent.”
Kaufman’s recent loss was to Ronda Rousey for Strikeforce. She also holds a win over former No. 1 contender Liz Carmouche.
Smith won her last two fights for Invicta FC over Kaitlin Young and Raquel Pennington.
They meet on the main card of Invicta FC 5 this Friday, April 5. It airs from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO.
