Marlon Moraes hopes to land a spot on the UFC roster one day, like so many others. With two wins out of the World Series of Fighting (WSOF), the bantamweight might be closing in on that wish.
“My dream is to one day fight in the UFC,” said Moraes to TATAME. “What MMA fighters do not? But I’m happy to have WSOF and aim the fulfillment of my contract.”
Before Moraes came to the WSOF, he took two wins out of XFC including a 47 knockout. He would defeat UFC veteran Miguel Torres via split-decision at the first WSOF event. On their second installment, Moraes knocked Tyson Nam out in less than three minutes. Moraes is now 10-4 with over half of his wins not leaving round one.
Moraes continued that he will return to the WSOF in July. He’s not been informed of his opponent.
WSOF have June 14 as the date for their third show. It comes out of a venue to be announced in Las Vegas, NV.
