Jamie Varner Hates Losing At Anything

If there’s one thing that Jamie Varner can’t stand, it’s losing. Since joining up with the UFC, the former WEC lightweight champion has fared pretty well with a 2-1 record and memorable fights to match.

“I hate losing more than I like winning,” said Varner on MMA Junkie Radio. “I hate losing. I don’t care what it is – checkers, video games, anything. I hate losing. So I’m going out to try to win.”

Varner would eventually drop the WEC belt and his next two fights. After four wins in a 15 month span, Varner took Upset of the Year for 2012 by stopping Edson Barboza at UFC 146. He’s bounced back from a Fight of the Night loss to Joe Lauzon with a win against Melvin Guillard at December’s UFC 155.

The return of Varner hasn’t been made public.
