Carlos Condit has stepped inside the Octagon with Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks. They both beat their fellow welterweight by decision, leading to their upcoming title fight. Condit has St-Pierre leaving with the belt when they do meet.
“Georges St-Pierre is just a more polished fighter,” said Condit on Inside MMA. “Johny Hendricks, he’s dangerous and he’s got good skills be he is a little rough around the edges when it comes to his whole game. Georges is just such a technician. He puts things together so well and is just a sharp, clean fighter and I think that’s going to make the difference in that match up.”
After St-Pierre was out for close to 18 months due to an ACL injury, he returned at UFC 154 to unify his belt with Condit’s interim. Condit would then lose to Hendricks at UFC 158. On that same card, St-Pierre took his eighth title defense over Nick Diaz.
No date has been confirmed for St-Pierre-Hendricks, but the challenger has asked about August being the month.
