Matt Mitrione prides himself on being honest and knows that his upcoming UFC fight could be his final. The heavyweight enters off a pair of losses to Cheick Kongo and Roy Nelson.
“My head is on the chopping block, there is a little bit of pressure on externally and let’s go out there and see what I got,” said Mitrione to Bleacher Report. “Let’s go out there and see what happens.”
The former NFL player would enter The Ultimate Fighter, but didn’t win. At the conclusion of the season, he took five wins before his recent defeats. He takes on Phil De Fries at UFC on FUEL TV 9.
Fries is 2-2 for the UFC, with both losses being in round one.
They are set for the main card on April 6. It comes from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Sweden.
