Uriah Hall made noise quickly on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) for his devastating knockout on the third episode. On the latest show, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey visited him and the rest of Team Chael Sonnen. Besides advice, she showed the men her physical skill, including the armbar that she’s made popular.
“I said to myself, ‘I can get out of this,’” said Hall to the New York Post. “Then she caught me and I was like, ‘Oh my God, this s— is real. You can’t grab her and if you do grab her, you’re f—ed. Thank God they didn’t show that, because she totally kicked my a–.”
It’s that armbar which has led Rousey to become the first woman to hold UFC gold. She’s defeated all 10 of her opponents, seven professional and three amateur, in the first round with that submission. She will coach the next season of TUF.
Hall fights on Tuesday’s episode in the semifinals against veteran Robert “Bubba” McDaniel.
