Jake Ellenberger looks at Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva, knowing a loss will happen sooner or later. According to the welterweight, he thinks St-Pierre will take the fight once he’s ready to retire.
“He’s in a position where he can only loss,” said Ellenberger on the Rick J Lee channel. “If I was him, I would look to fight Anderson Silva and retire. Eventually you’re going to loss. It happens.”
The two have been teased for years as a potential superfight. They both currently have No. 1 contenders in their own weight class to worry about.
St-Pierre’s manager recently disclosed that the welterweight champion only has a few fights left. Silva, the middleweight champion, is in the process of signing a new UFC deal.
Ellenberger took Knockout of the Night in round one over Nate Marquardt at UFC 158.
