UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is unbeaten in her MMA career, having recorded seven first round victories via armbar.
One of her potential two future opponents, Cat Zingano, also boasts a 7-0 record with three submission and three knockout wins to her credit.
Zingano can earn a shot at Rousey and a spot on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter with a win over Miesha Tate next month at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. And, Rousey seems interested in testing herself against Zingano, as she told Inside MMA recently.
“I’ve had my eye on Cat for a while,” she said. “I’m very interested to see how that fight goes. I think it would be nice to have Cat win and just to have another name that’s kind of well known within the girls’ ranks.”
Rousey defeated Tate when they were both in Strikeforce, and promptly saw her stock skyrocket from there. The bout between Tate and Zingano will be the second female fight inside the Octagon.
