Melvin Guillard stated over the weekend that he was leaving the Blackzilians camp in Florida and returning to New Mexico to train with Greg Jackson. Well, Guillard may have jumped the gun, as a report from MMAjunkie.com cites the fighter is not welcomed back to the camp.
Guillard (30-12-2) has dropped four of his last five inside the Octagon, but is also facing two outstanding assault charges from separate 2010 incidents in New Mexico.
“The Young Assassin” was viewed as a top contender at lightweight while training with Jackson. Upon leaving the camp, though, he has fallen on hard times. Guillard does not have a future fight scheduled at this point.
