In Tyrone Spong’s return to kickboxing after taking a recent MMA fight, the bout picked up in the second round with “King of the Ring” finishing it with a right hook to Remy Bonjasky at GLORY 5.
It improves Spong to 69-6 and is his fifth straight win, who after the fight challenged fellow heavyweight Semmy Schilt.
“I like challenges and I’m just looking forward to fighting the best,” said Spong. “So give me Semmy or give me whatever.”
Bonjasky is now 2-2 since returning last year after a three year hiatus. This was his second loss in a row.
“I don’t know [what’s next] yet,” said Bonjasky. “It’s hard to make a good comeback. My comeback has been rocky. I’ve done my best. I’ve done everything, but my body says it’s hard.”
GLORY 5 came from the ExCeL Arena in England on March 23.
