Marlon Moraes left World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 2 with one fight remaining on his contract. After taking another win, he’s ready to stick around and sign an extension.
“Right now I would not consider any [other contract] offers,” said Moraes. “I am contracted with World Series of Fighting for at least one more fight. And I’m thinking of renewing my contract. I’m very happy with them. I hope they renew my contract.”
The bantamweight used a leg kick to the head of Tyson Nam to secure the win in the opening round of the co-main event. In his debut for the promotion, he upset UFC veteran Miguel Torres with a split-decision. Before entering the WSOF, Moraes took two wins out of XFC including a first round stoppage.
Last night’s win improved Moraes to 10-4. Nam is now 12-5 with that being his first loss in almost two years.
WSOF 2 was this past Saturday, March 23, from Revel Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The main card aired on the NBC Sports Network.
