Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos would fight transgender fighter Fallon Fox if offered, though the former Strikeforce featherweight champion isn’t certain she should be allowed to compete against females. She felt it was up to the athletic commissions to decide.
“The commission needs to check and make sure she doesn’t have testosterone,” said Santos to ESPN. “If the commission says she can fight, why not? But I don’t choose opponents.”
Fox is 2-0 in her professional career, taking a win less than one minute into round one earlier in the month for CFA.
“She wants to be a girl, I don’t agree,” said Santos. “I think you’re born a girl, you’re a girl. You’re born a guy, you’re a guy. The commission needs to check and make sure she doesn’t have testosterone.”
After being away from competition for over a year due to a steroid suspension and contract issues with the UFC, Santos debuts for Invicta FC on April 5 from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO. She meets Fiona Muxlow.
