Dana White On India: “We’ve Already Set Up Shop”

The UFC is expanding across the globe as MMA continues to become the latest trend setter. One of the next markets on tap for the UFC is India.

UFC president Dana White has plans to hold an edition of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) there and the promotion is already in motion to make that happen.

“We’re working over there,” said White during the post-fight UFC 158 media scrum. “We’ve already setup shop and started to invest in that market. We’re working on it.”

No city for where the show would be filmed could be confirmed.

After a successful and lengthy run in the USA, the reality showed started airing out of Brazil. They are currently taping their second season there. The first Australian version ended in December.

The 17th installment is currently underway in the USA. It is coached by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen. Watch it on FX at 9 p.m. ET.

Jones vs. Sonnen headlines UFC 159 on April 27 from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
