Lavar Johnson’s post-fight drug test following a loss to Brendan Schaub last month has been flagged for elevated levels of testosterone, according to information obtained by MMAjunkie.com from the California Athletic Commission.
Johnson’s test showed an additional carbon isotope ratio that was “consistent with the administration of a steroid,” according to CAC executive officer Andy Foster.
Johnson was the lone fighter tested to fail the post-fight drug tests. He fell to 2-2 in the UFC and 17-7 in his overall MMA career.
The Johnson-Schaub bout was part of the undercard for UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche.
