When Ronda Rousey hits The Ultimate Fighter later this year, she will do so on either FX or the soon-to-be-launched FOX Sports 1. That decision has yet to be made, according to UFC president Dana White.
“That’s all still a work in progress,” said White over the weekend. “I won’t be the one to make that decision.”
TUF has already switched dates, going from Friday to Tuesday nights since debuting on FX last year. It has also moved back to the taped-format after broadcasting a season of live fights.
FOX Sports 1 is set to begin airing in August and will host several UFC events – the ones that aired previously on FX and FUEL TV. FX is not expected to televise any sporting events after the launch of the station, but TUF could be classified as entertainment.
Rousey will coach opposite either Miesha Tate or Cat Zingano, and the season will feature female fighters for the first time.
