Jordan Mein escaped an early armbar by Dan Miller before taking a TKO win at UFC 158. With 15 seconds left in round one, Mein was able to get his 22 finish.
“I knew as soon as I got out and back to my feet it would pay off,” said Mein to MMA Fighting. “I don’t know if it gave me confidence, but it broke his confidence a little bit. I think it broke him a little.”
It was Mein’s first UFC fight after a 2-1 run in Strikeforce. It was his UFC debut after a 34 fight career since 2006.
Miller is now 3-1 since 2011. It’s the first time he’s been finished outside of a corner stoppage in 2006.
They fought on the preliminary aspect of UFC 158.
