Mike Ricci vs. Colin Fletcher

We begin the main card with a pair of Ultimate Fighter finalists, as Mike Ricci (7-3) takes on Colin Fletcher (8-2). The referee in charge will be Marc Goddard.

Round 1: Fletcher looking to use his reach, keeping Ricci at bay with some nice kicks. Ricci landing a straight left, and throws a spinning kick to the body. Fletcher with a big overhand right and the two exchange kicks to the side of the body. Both throw kicks and Ricci takes one below the belt, causing a brief stoppage. Big right hook connects over the top by Ricci, and Fletcher throws a triple-spinning attack, but doesn’t land. Fletcher catches a kick but is unable to score a takedown as the round ends.

Round 2: Ricci with a head kick and scores a takedown, slamming Fletcher up against the cage and in complete control. Ricci looking to unload with some sharp elbows, advances to side control and has him pinned up in an awkward position. Fletcher looking for a possible leg lock or a heel hook attempt, but is unable to get it and Ricci has the back. Fletcher is bleeding from the right eye area. Using his kicks again now, “Freakshow” has been able to survive this round. Spinning back fist connects by Fletcher, who continues to throw “spinning shit.”

Round 3: Fletcher grabs a leg and is working hard for the takedown, but is unable to get it. Ricci denies each attempt by Fletcher and they separate with three minutes to go. Quick head kick connects as a glancing blow by Ricci. Stiff left lands from the Canadian, who is in complete control. Fletcher tries for a submission attempt by dropping to guard, but is unable to get anything and Ricci is posturing up now with under a minute to go. Ricci transitions to the back, has his hooks locked in and is attempting to secure the rear-naked. Under 20 seconds, but Fletcher is able to avoid an armbar attempt.
