Jordan Mein Stops Dan Miller In His Octagon Debut At UFC 158

Jordan Mein received his fair share of attention for being a prelim fighter during the build up to UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz, and he showed why he deserved that attention, finishing Dan Miller.

Mein (27-8) is now 9-1 in his last 10 fights, with the lone loss being a split decision defeat to Tyron Woodley last year. He owns finishes of Miller, Forrest Petz, Evangelista Santos and Joe Riggs during his recent run.

“It makes me so excited,” Mein said. “This was one of my goals. Dan’s never been stopped, and that was one of my goals; I achieved it.”

Mein was caught early in the first round by a Miller submission attempt, saying, “it was very close. I just kept rolling with it.” He was able to avoid the armbar attempt and went right back on the attack, dropping Miller.

After allowing Miller to get back to his feet, Mein pounced again, finishing him with just over a minute left.

“I found my spot again and hurt him,” Mein said.
