Jessica Aguilar has heard rumblings about Bellator potentially creating another tournament for the females though it is only a rumor at this time.
“There is nothing confirmed yet,” said Aguilar to Caged Insider. “Bellator has been going through some changes, but they have been doing a great job keeping everyone busy with fights. So, I do not have any information on that right now, but if it does happen I will let everyone know.”
In her last six fights, Aguilar has won five. She’s 4-1 for Bellator with the loss coming to Zoila Gurgel in 2010. Gurgel was the first and only female champion for the promotion. She vacated her title after signing with Invicta FC last month.
After a 10 month layoff, which was used for time to rest, Aguilar returns at Bellator 94 against Patricia Vidonic. In December, Vidonic lost in her first Bellator appearance.
Bellator 94 is March 29 from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, FL. Spike TV airs the main card and Spike.com will stream the preliminary fights.
