Stefan Struve has finally undergone surgery to fix his broken jaw, and is anticipating five months off due to the surgery.
“Just back from surgery and it feel great to have it fixed,” Struve wrote on Twitter Wednesday. “Be ready to go in about 5 months.”
Struve suffered the injury in Japan recently, as Mark Hunt defeated him via third round knockout. He mentioned on Twitter that a bacteria infection caused the surgery to be delayed.
“The Skyscraper” had his four-fight win streak snapped by Hunt. He has gone 6-2 in his last eight fights overall.
