Wanderlei Silva is embracing the call-outs he has been receiving, and believes it is good to know others want to face him. Silva recently defeated Brian Stann in Japan via second round TKO.
“More guys talking about me is good,” said Silva, during an appearance on MMAjunkie.com Radio. “Talking good or talking bad; but talking about me is good.”
Silva (35-12-1) improved to 4-5 inside the Octagon with the win, which came in his return to Japan. Many have stated it would be a perfect situation to retire from MMA, but “The Axe Murderer doesn’t seem to be leaning in that direction.
Tom Watson made it known how he feels about Silva. Watson is a training partner of Stann’s, and Silva appears fine with a fight happening.
“I think if the fight is interesting, we need to do it, whatever the record,” Silva said. “The public is the boss. If the public wants to see it, we need to do it.”
