As Jorge Patino closes in on 40-years-old, there’s no slowing down for the Legacy FC lightweight and welterweight champion.
“I want to show everybody that I’m in shape and I can beat younger guys and show great technique,” said Patino to MMA Weekly.
Patino saw action in the UFC and Strikeforce once. Both contest ended in defeat. Patino has five wins since joining Legacy FC in late 2011. He has defended each title on one occasion.
With plenty of bouts planned for the remainder of the year, Patino can’t even think about retirement. He fights for Pancrase in March against Isao Kobayashi, then heads to Australia in April and Brazil in May.
As per rejoining the UFC, the thought is something Patino would need to think about.
