Ulysses Gomez is prepared to sign a contract with California’s Pandemonium, a month after the UFC released him.
“I haven’t signed my contract yet,” said Gomez on MMA Junkie Radio. “Pandemonium [is where I’ll fight]. I’ll be fighting for them – it’s a three-fight deal, which keeps me busy – which is what I like.”
Pandemonium’s next two shows are set for March 23 and another one in May or June. Gomez hasn’t been linked to either at the moment.
Gomez was released by the UFC after an upset loss to John Moraga in 2012. That was followed by a decision loss against Phil Harris at the UFC on FUEL TV show from England last month.
For Gomez to return to the UFC, he believes a few more wins and the promotion will have him back as flyweight.
Gomez has competed as bantamweight and is undefeated in that weight class. He remains focused on the relatively new UFC flyweight division as his ultimate goal.
