According to a report by the Brazilian news source Tatame, a planned bout between Thiago Silva and Rafael Cavalcante has been re-scheduled for June and UFC on FUEL TV 10. The event takes place from Brazil, and is expected to serve as the finale for The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2.
The bout was originally reported as being made for UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman, which goes down in July from Las Vegas.
UFC officials made a rash of fight announcements earlier this week, filling up the next several months worth of events in a hurry.
Both Silva and Cavalcante are both returning from suspensions. Silva’s for marijuana, Cavalcante’s for a banned steroid. “Feijao” told the site it is “a dream to fight in Brazl (with) the UFC.”
