Mike Richman is known for his stoppages in and out of Bellator. Of his 15 overall wins, six have been by knockout and seven via submission. To leave with a split-decision win over Alexandre Bezerra at last night’s Bellator 92, it showed Richman that he could go the distance if needed.
“This was the most gratifying type of win,” said Richman to Sherdog. “I’ve always had that hanging over my head and it motivates me. It was super satisfying, more than blasting someone’s head off.”
He is now 4-1 in Bellator and headed to the finals of the Season 8 featherweight tournament. It was the second time Bezerra has been booted from a tournament in the semifinals.
At an unknown time, Richman takes on Magomedrasul Khasbulaev in the finals. Khasbulaev finished all his opponents in the tournament to land where he’s at now.
Bellator 92 came from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA. Spike TV aired the main card and FightLine will have the ratings later in the day.
