Michael Bisping made quite the impact on the executives with FOX Sports and FUEL TV recently, as they have signed him to a two-year deal to provide analyst for shows. Bisping informed BloodyElbow.com that the contract will not interfere with his fighting career.
“The Count” is set to face Alan Belcher next month in the co-main event of UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen.
“There’s a lot of down time in between fights, so this allows me to be productive,” Bisping said. “I think the next time I’m due back is in three-or-four weeks. I’m not sure how often I’ll be on.”
As for his fighting future, the former Ultimate Fighter winner stated, “This does not mean any interference with my fighting career. I’ve still got a lot of time left in me. I just turned 34 last week and I see myself going for another eight years.”
Chael Sonnen, Rashad Evans, Dominick Cruz, Brian Stann, Urijah Faber and others have also served as analysts on FUEL TV pre- and post-fight shows.
